The monitor is only useful if readers can see the publishers behind a story. We therefore keep publisher names, source labels, and original outbound links visible whenever coverage is grouped.
Coverage approach
The monitor draws from distinct news and information providers.
Its registry includes national publishers, regional coverage, specialist outlets, and selected official information sources. A source is shown only within the monitor’s own published source policy and technical checks.
Specialist coverage
Business, technology, sports, health, education, and sector-specific outlets can add useful context that a general newsroom may not foreground.
Official information
Where verified and enabled, public institutions can provide primary updates for relevant public-service topics.
Reading the labels
What source tiers and status do—and do not—mean.
Source tiers are context labels.
Tier 1 through Tier 7 are monitor metadata that help readers understand coverage grouping. They are not a guarantee, a political classification, or a verdict on an individual report.
Source status is operational information.
The live source-status page reports whether a registered feed recently responded, returned usable items, or needs attention. It is not an editorial score.
Every full report belongs to its publisher.
Opening a source link takes the reader to the originating outlet. Ghana News Monitor does not claim publisher reporting as its own.
